Professor Keith Tudor

Professor Keith Tudor

Professor Keith Tudor is a widely published author, trainer, educator and humanistic psychotherapist. He has designed and facilitated supervision courses for 20 years and has 12 published outputs on the various aspects of supervision. He was one of the first therapists in the UK to bring the humanistic perspective into supervision training. Freedom to Practice: Person-centred Approaches to Supervision, which he co-edited with Mike Worrall, clearly reveals his interest in how personal philosophy is suggestive of how we practice.

Keith is coming to Australia in February 2018 to offer an in-depth 1 day workshop for supervisors that will examine the impact on underlying philosophy, personal and professional values and modality on the practice of supervision – for both supervisor and supervisee. At Keith’s request, numbers will be strictly limited to ensure that all participants have ample opportunity to contribute and experientially engage with the topic.

In this 1 day workshop with Keith Tudor, you are invited to examine the personal and professional wisdom that you bring to supervision. Philosophy (which derives from words meaning the love of wisdom) underpins our thinking, theory, approach, practice and decision-making in supervision practice – but more often implicitly rather than explicitly.

Keith will facilitate you to explore the relationship between your underlying philosophy, personal and professional values, theoretical orientation or modality and the practice of supervision – and the congruence (or fit) and tensions between these. He will do this in a way that is responsive to your interests and needs.

The day promises to be lively and challenging. It will include didactic teaching input, demonstrations, large and small group discussion and plenty of opportunity for practice and the supervision of practice.
